The large showpieces that will be used in Epcot's new nighttime spectacular, "Harmonious," are being put in place on the World Showcase Lagoon at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

That includes a central ring structure that stands six stories tall, as well as four other platforms that will surround the ring positioned like a compass. The ring structure will support a "high-density water curtain, moving lights, fountains and more," Disney said.

There is no premier date for "Harmonious" yet.

Disney's technical designers have been programming elements of the show in recent weeks, including lighting, pyrotechnics, media and fountains. They have been working remotely on recording sessions with a number of musical artists at studios around the world.

Disney said "Harmonious" remains an important piece of its current overhaul of Epcot itself

The showpieces will act as fountains during the day.

"Harmonious" replaces two nighttime show Illuminations. "Reflections of Earth" was retired in 2019, and a placeholder show, "Epcot Forever," ran for several months before the parks closed last March because of the pandemic. Nighttime shows have been on hold since the parks reopened last summer.
