The prop master wants the ultimate prop. Comedian and Luxor headliner Carrot Top is holding a national prop contest, with the winning prop to be used in his wildly popular show.
The winning prop maker will also win roundtrip airfare for two, two-night hotel accommodations at Luxor, dinner for two and two tickets to see Carrot Top live. Entries will be taken until midnight on May 1. All entries will be judged by members of Carrot Top's staff, and a winner will be announced shortly after the deadline.
"The idea to do a national prop contest came after we had one specifically for Luxor employees," Scott "Carrot Top" Thompson said in a press statement. "There were some really great ones, and I still use the winning prop in my show at Luxor. I figured that a national contest would be a lot of fun, and Luxor really put together a great prize package.
"Creating a funny prop is a lot harder than people would expect. I encourage anyone interested to get out your zip ties, your duct tape, your Krazy Glue and come up with a prop that you think I can use. One more thing: No puns. I don't want to see a shoe with a horn in it and have it called a shoehorn."
