Legoland Florida Resort plans to beef up its lodging offerings
by the middle of 2017.
The new Legoland Beach Retreat will feature 166 units in 83
single-story duplexes located adjacent to the park. As the name suggests, the
resort will have a sand and sea theme; a Lego lighthouse will mark the entrance
to the resort. Amenities will include a themed pool, a sandy play area and
complimentary transportation to Legoland.
The Legoland Beach Retreat will join Legoland Florida’s original
lodging, the 152-room Legoland Hotel, which opened last May.
Legoland has also announced that it will create a new section of
the park, to be called Ninjago World, which will open early next year. Based
upon the animated ninja television series and product line Lego Ninjago:
Masters of Spinjitzu, Ninjago World will be highlighted by an immersive,
high-tech ride in which up to four guests per vehicle team up to fight a
villain. Riders will score points by using hand gestures to blast animated
fireballs, lightning and more.
Ninjago World will encompass three acres, according to the
Orlando Sentinel.
