Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando have been
closed since Saturday evening due to Hurricane Irma and will remained closed
through Monday.
Both theme parks anticipate reopening on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Except for Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, the
resorts’ hotels remained open throughout the weekend.
Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, the Disney
water parks and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex have all been closed
since Saturday evening, and several special events were canceled, for which
Disney was offering refunds and tickets for alternate dates.
Universal canceled its Rock the Universe event for Saturday
night and Sunday morning.
