The Plaza Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas unveiled refurbished Luxe rooms and suites this month, part of a $15 million project.
Guestrooms on the top floors of the Plaza's North Tower, including eight new suites, were transformed with contemporary decor, technology and energy efficiency upgrades. In the case of the suites, 16 rooms were converted into the eight suites, cutting the total room count on the top floors from 120 to 112.
Floor plans average 325 square feet. Adjoining doors were removed to offer more storage options with modern wardrobes. Sixteen rooms were combined to create the eight Luxe suites.
The rooms' decor features warm wood tones and mixed metals with bold colors and graphics; laminate flooring with area rugs; and bathrooms with custom vanities, oversize walk-in showers, quartz counters and a blend of tiles.
Every room has an Amazon Echo Dot in the alarm clock, USB charging ports, a 49-inch flat-screen television, a coffeemaker and a refrigerator. The eight suites also include a wet bar.
Energy-efficient LED lighting and an upgraded climate control system have been added. The rooms also have RFID card entry, a safety feature that has been installed in all 1,000 guestrooms at the Plaza.
