The Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge is opening its doors to welcome visitors who want to experience the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in style while getting a feel for winter in Alaska.
The upscale lodge, set on a ridge above the quirky town of Talkeetna, has some of the best views of Denali from its front porch. The lodge's giant river rock fireplace is the perfect place to warm up after a day of excitement watching the Iditarod mushers at the ceremonial start in Anchorage or other spring break activities.
The lodge, which is now part of the refreshed and rebranded Alaska Collection, will be open from March 3 to 20.
