Soaring over Las Vegas Boulevard halfway between the Strip and Fremont Street, the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower has been a fixture in the Vegas skyline since opening in 1996. Now, the resort defined by its height is getting an abbreviated rebranding.
Golden Entertainment, which purchased the property in 2017, is renovating and rebranding the resort as the Strat Hotel, Casino and SkyPod, embracing the hotel's popular nickname as its official name. The remodel has also touched elements of the casino and hotel product, launching a new baccarat pit and introducing the Elevate room series, which encompasses 311 guestrooms that have been totally redone.
The resort's restaurant program also got an update with a fresh menu and a new look at Top of the World, a new 24-hour cafe and a new casual concept,108 Eats, by chef James Trees on the Observation Deck level of the Strat's tower.
The renovations are continuing this year with a fully updated sports book operated by William Hill; a new casino lounge, Blvd & Main Taphouse; and continuing changes to that iconic tower, which will now be branded together under the name SkyPod.
Finally, the Strat will host the debut of a True Rewards gaming loyalty program that will eventually roll out across Golden Entertainment's portfolio of casinos and taverns. It's a long list of updates for Las Vegas' skyscraping casino.
