The U.S. Travel Association's annual trade show, IPW, will be held in Las Vegas from May 10 to 14, 2021.
The event was supposed to take place this May in Sin City, but was canceled due to the Covid-19 crisis, for the first time since the event's inception in 1969.
The previously scheduled 2021 host city, Chicago, agreed to step aside for next year and will assume the host mantle in 2025, U.S. Travel said. The scheduled change means IPW 2021 will be held in Las Vegas Convention Center's new West Hall, currently under construction.
Other future host sites -- Orlando in 2022, San Antonio in 2023, and Los Angeles in 2024 -- remain unchanged.
U.S. Travel CEO Roger Dow. Said that cancelling this year's IPW "was a difficult though clearly necessary call" and thanked Chicago for its flexibility.
U.S. Travel said that IPW drives $5.5 billion in future travel to the U.S.
