For the first time since the event’s inception in 1969, the U.S. Travel Association’s annual IPW conference has been canceled.

IPW 2020 was to take place in Las Vegas from May 30  to June 3, but the conference, like other large gatherings, has fallen victim to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The conference takes places in a different U.S. city every year. U.S. Travel has not said whether next year’s IPW will be held in Las Vegas or in Chicago where IPW 2021 is scheduled to be held.

U.S. Travel CEO Roger Dow said the decision to cancel was made after “we explored every viable option to proceed this year.”
