AmaWaterways co-owners Rudi Schreiner and Kristin Karst will
be hosting two founder's cruises on the Danube this November.
Schreiner, the company's president, will be hosting a
seven-night Danube cruise on Nov. 17, and Karst, who is executive vice president
of AmaWaterways, will be hosting a seven-night Danube cruise on Nov. 18. The
two will come together for one evening on each other's ship.
The cruises take place during Thanksgiving week, the
official launch of the festive season on AmaWaterways ships. Guests will be
hosted to a traditional Thanksgiving meal on cruises during that week.
During the founder's cruises, guests will have the
opportunity to get to know the leaders of AmaWaterways and hear about what's on
the horizon for the company. Additionally, Schreiner will tell stories about
the early days of river cruising, including about his first river experience, a
raft trip along the Amazon, and Karst will discuss her journey moving from her
home country of Germany to the U.S.
Both of the founder's cruises will sail AmaWaterways' "Danube
Serenade" itinerary, departing from the German city of Nuremberg and visiting
towns along the Danube in Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria, before
ending in Vienna where the destination's Christmas markets will have just
opened.
