CroisiEurope will launch paddlewheel cruises on the Seine next year on the R.E. Waydelich L.J., an 81-passenger ship that the company already sails on the Rhine.
The "Little Gems of the Seine" cruise will sail roundtrip from Paris, visiting Melun, Saint Mammes, Corbeil Essones and La Roche-Guyon. The five-night cruise will bring passengers to Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne, a medieval village, and Monet's gardens in Giverny. The cruise starts at $1,694 per person.
The seven-night "The History of France from Paris to Normandy" itinerary focuses on the country's heritage, visiting castles, villages and historic cities. The itinerary includes excursions to Versailles and Fontainebleau, exploring Paris by a sidecar and visiting a museum dedicated to Joan of Arc. Prices start at $2,398.
The ship has 42 cabins, a restaurant, lounge and sundeck.
