Emerald Cruises is offering two departures that will give multigenerational families a chance to vacation together in Europe this summer.
Two family-friendly itineraries have been designed with kids ages 10 to 18 in mind and will feature amenities and activities that family members of all ages can enjoy together.
Guests who book the eight-day Family Rhine River Cruise will sail on July 17 from Basel to Amsterdam on the line's newest ship, Emerald Luna. Excursions include a canoe trip on the Rhine, geocaching in Heidelberg, and an optional visit to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

Guests who book the Family Danube River Cruise, also an eight-day sailing, will sail on July 15 from Budapest to Munich with stops in Austria, Slovakia and Germany. Travelers can expect to enjoy an interactive art museum in Budapest, a cooking class in Bratislava, geocaching in Passau and an archery lesson at Schallaburg Castle in Austria.
