Emerald Cruises has christened its newest river cruise ship in Amsterdam.
The Emerald Luna, the company's ninth Star-Ship, was christened by its godmother, Gifted Travel Network co-founder and chief sales officer Vanessa McGovern, in a ceremony held in Amsterdam on July 21.
McGovern is an educator of travel advisors and a business coach. She began her career in travel as a cruise ship art auctioneer before transitioning into education.

"It's a true honor and a privilege to be named godmother to this magnificent river ship," McGovern said. "I've long admired Emerald Cruises' commitment to working with travel advisors, and it's with great pleasure that I welcome Emerald Luna to the fleet and wish her a safe passage."
Emerald Luna will sail European river cruises on the Rhine, Main and Danube. The 180-guest ship features balconies in most cabins and an indoor swimming pool that has a retractable roof. The space can be transformed into a cinema.
