Viking Cruises will add four new ships next year that will
sail the Seine River.
The vessels will be similar to the company's trademark Viking
Longships but smaller and specially built to navigate the Seine through the
heart of Paris.
The four identical ships will be deployed on Viking’s
popular eight-day "Paris and the Heart of Normandy" itinerary.
With 84 cabins, the Viking Fjorgyn, Viking Kari, Viking
Radgrid and Viking Skaga will have many of the same Scandinavian design and
features as the Longships, including an Aquavit Terrace, a variety of stateroom
choices and onboard solar panels.
Viking also plans to launch two new Longships -- the Viking
Hervor and Viking Gersemi -- to sail its most popular itineraries on the Rhine,
Main and Danube rivers in 2020.
It will also expand its Egypt program with the new 41-cabin Viking
Osiris.
