Vietnam-based river line Pandaw Cruises will launch a new ship on northern Vietnam's Red River, citing high demand for the region.

The Hanoi Pandaw will sail the Red River and the Halong Bay region. The ship is slated to debut November 2026.

The vessel will operate a 10-day itinerary as the sister ship to the Angkor Pandaw. It will have 16 staterooms and reflect the brand's signature colonial style. The ship will feature brass and teak finishes.

"North Vietnam is one of the last frontiers for river exploration in Asia," said Pandaw founder Paul Strachan. "Much of this region remains untouched by mainstream tourism, and it's been incredibly rewarding to offer travelers a more intimate and immersive journey through its rivers and rural communities.

Passengers will explore rural villages and farms to experience life in northern Vietnam. The Hanoi Pandaw will bring travelers to the limestone karsts of Halong Bay by navigating canals and rivers across the Red River delta. Guests will also visit Hanoi and the hill country around Viet Tri.
