Tauck last week welcomed two of its river cruise ships back into its fleet following a reconfiguration of the vessels' interior spaces that resulted in larger staterooms and a reduced passenger count.
The Treasures and Esprit were fully gutted and 30 of each vessel's 150-square-foot cabins were replaced by 20 cabins measuring 225 square feet each. The total number of cabins was reduced from 59 to 49, and thus each ship’s overall capacity was reduced 17% from 118 passengers to 98 per vessel.
The vessels also feature 14 suites at 300 square feet each. Another enhancement on the Treasures and Esprit was the addition of a dedicated kitchen and chef to the vessels’ second, more casual dining venue, which has been renamed Arthur’s.
The vessels will sail along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.
