Viking will debut two new itineraries on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers in 2027, including a 15-day sailing from New Orleans to Louisville, Ky.

The 15-day trip on the Viking Mississippi is called Bayous, Blues and Bluegrass. It includes four destinations in Louisiana: New Orleans, Darrow, St. Francisville and Baton Rouge.

It then heads to Mississippi with stops in Natchez, Vicksburg and Greenville before reaching Memphis, Tenn. It will then branch off onto the Ohio River, and the final five days are in Kentucky, where passengers will visit Paducah, Henderson, Owensboro and Louisville.

An eight-day itinerary called Mississippi and Ohio River Explorer is a shortened version of the 15-day cruise, starting in Memphis and ending in Louisville.

The cruise line's 2027 Mississippi and Ohio river itineraries are now available for booking. Options also include three previously announced eight-day itineraries and a 22-day Mississippi River Odyssey.
