American Airlines will build a new headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, the Dallas Business Journal reported Thursday.

The headquarters will be located next to American's current headquarters at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. The 300-acre campus will contain four buildings and house approximately 5,000 employees.

American's current headquarters is nearly three decades old and will be demolished to make way for the new campus. It is expected to break ground next spring and be ready to move in by late summer or early fall 2018, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The move is part of American's integration with US Airways, which flew its final flight last Friday.

American announced the relocation in a letter to employees, the Dallas Business Journal reported.
