Travelers passing through San Francisco’s airport can now hire their own personal concierge. The airport began offering the services of the Canadian-based contractor Airport Butler earlier this month.
“The Airport Butler service provides an exciting new option for travelers, offering a unique VIP experience that anyone can enjoy,” airport director John Martin said in a prepared statement.
Airport Butler’s services can be tailored to travelers with small children, travelers in need of language assistance and senior citizens.
General meet-and-greet services are offered to departing, arriving and connecting passengers. In each of those cases, the butler will meet the passenger upon arrival at the airport and then usher them to their final airport stop — be that a departure gate, a ground transportation pick-up or somewhere else.
Airport Butler services include personal shopping, meeting guests with flowers or gifts and arranging private meeting rooms.
San Francisco is the second airport to use the services of Airport Butler. The company began working out of Vancouver in 2012.
Airport Butler doesn’t provide general pricing information on its website, AirportBulter.com, and a company official didn’t respond to a phone call about pricing. However, a booking completed Tuesday for meet-and-greet service on departure for one passenger who was checking one bag rendered a quote of $250.
