Alaska Airlines opens San Francisco lounge

Alaska Airlines has opened a new lounge at San Francisco International Airport. 

Alaska Lounge SFO joins a lounge network that includes three facilities in Seattle as well as lounges at LAX, JFK and Portland, Ore.

The 9,200-square-foot facility is located in SFO's Terminal 2. It features San Francisco-themed décor and food, including a children's play area decorated with San Francisco Giants art, a sourdough bread toast cart, complimentary local craft beers and wines and Ghirardelli chocolate.

The lounge is open to Alaska's first-class flyers, annual Alaska Lounge members and Alaska Lounge day pass holders. 

Beginning Oct. 1, standard annual membership to the Alaska Lounge network will be $350 for elite Alaska Mileage Plan members and $450 for non-elites. Day passes cost $50.
