This month's edition of American's in-flight magazine American Way will be the last.

The edition, which is on planes now, features a story about America's hippest LGBTQ neighborhoods on its cover.

American first filled seatbacks with American Way in 1966. The carrier called its decision to discontinue the publication, "bittersweet." However, it said American Way is being replaced with digital inflight entertainment offerings. There will be no digital edition of the magazine.

Delta and Southwest have also discontinued their in-flight magazines during the pandemic.
