Breeze Airways will add Memphis as well as the New York cities of Rochester and Albany to its route map this spring. In total, the low-cost airline announced 13 new routes Wednesday.
From Memphis, Breeze will fly to Tampa twice weekly beginning May 7 and to Raleigh-Durham twice weekly starting May 9.
Breeze will connect Albany with Raleigh-Durham twice weekly beginning June 5. Starting on June 13, the carrier will fly twice weekly between Albany and Charleston, S.C.
From Rochester, Breeze will fly to Charleston beginning May 8 and Raleigh-Durham beginning May 9. Both routes are twice weekly.
Breeze will compete with fellow discount airline Avelo on service connecting Raleigh-Durham with Albany and Rochester. Breeze is the lone airline on the other new routes, Cirium flight schedule data shows.
The new destinations will bring Breeze's total to 68. The carrier recently pulled out of Mobile, Ala.
Breeze plans to grow its capacity approximately 25% this year, CEO David Neeleman said, down from last year's increase of 52%.
