British Airways will cut 10,300 flights from its schedule from August through October, as staffing shortages continue to take a toll.
The move follows BA's previous cuts made in the spring. In total, the airline has reduced its summer schedule by 13%.
These latest cuts will only affect short-haul flying, however.
"The whole aviation industry continues to face significant challenges, and we're completely focused on building resilience into our operation to give customers the certainty they deserve," BA said in a statement Wednesday.
The carrier said it decided to cut more flights after the U.K. government granted airlines a temporary summer reprieve to requirements that they use at least 70% of their daily landing slot allocations at capacity-constrained airports, which include London Heathrow and London Gatwick.
