China
Eastern Airways will launch nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare and Shanghai
on March 18.
O’Hare will become the fifth U.S. destination for China
Eastern, the second-largest carrier in China. The airline also serves
New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu and San Francisco.
China
Eastern will compete against United’s daily service on the route and American’s
weekend-only service.
Travelers
will have access to China Eastern’s network of 156 connecting routes within China
from Shanghai as well as 50 connecting routes to other Asian destinations.
