Delta will add a second route to Lagos, Nigeria, next March 24.

The flight, from New York JFK, will join Delta's existing Lagos service from its hub in Atlanta.

Flights will depart three times per week on a two-cabin Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Delta will compete against the Nigerian carrier Arik Air on the JFK-Lagos flights. Arik also flies the route thrice weekly.

Delta services four African cities: Lagos; Accra, Ghana; Dakar, Senegal; and Johannesburg.
