Delta will introduce Minneapolis-Maui flights on Dec. 19, making it the lone carrier to serve the route. It's part of a broader set of Hawaii service increases the airline has planned.
The route will operate five times weekly for most of the winter and daily during peak spring break and winter holiday periods.
The carrier will operate Minneapolis-Maui with Airbus A330-300 planes featuring business, premium economy and economy cabins.
More Hawaii flights coming
Delta will also bring back Boston-Honolulu service next winter, with four-times-weekly flights, as well as daily flights during the holidays. Delta tried the route during the winter of 2024-25 but discontinued it for this winter.
The route likely is more appealing to Delta now following the exit of lone competitor Hawaiian Airlines in November.
Delta will also increase frequencies of its flights to Honolulu from Detroit and Atlanta next winter and increase Honolulu-New York JFK frequencies beginning in April.
