Delta has increased its fee for the first checked bag from $25 to $30, matching United and JetBlue.

Also, the airline is now charging $40 for a second checked bag, up from $35.

JetBlue raised its fee to $30 in late August, and United followed with its increase just days later. American hasn't matched the increase, but the airline is expected to do so.

Southwest continues to include two checked bags in its fares, and CEO Gary Kelly has been adamant about maintaining that policy.
