MIAMI -- Dutch Caribbean Airlines, a new carrier paying 6%
commission and headquartered in Curacao with a U.S. base here,
offers MD-80 daily flights between Miami and Curacao.
Hubert La Croes, formerly with American Airlines, is general
manager, U.S. and Canada.
DCA was formed last September and is wholly owned by
Curacao.
Nonstop flights to Curacao operate five days a week on Sundays,
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
DCA offers a nonstop Miami-Haiti flight on Mondays.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the flight stops in Haiti before
terminating in Curacao.
A flight from Miami to Curacao on Saturdays stops en route in
Bonaire.
DCA also operates five flights a week between Amsterdam and
Curacao, four flights a week between Curacao and Port-of-Spain,
Trinidad, and two weekly flights between Curacao and Kingston,
Jamaica.
Roundtrip fares between Miami and Curacao are $206 plus tax
through June 15.
Three-night air and land packages to Curacao through Dec. 14 are
offered at a choice of three properties.
Rates start at $418 pe person, double at the Floris Suite hotel
for roundtrip air, transfers and hotel with breakfast.
Additional destinations planned from the Miami gateway include
Aruba, St. Maarten, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
