Hong Kong Airlines will introduce its first U.S. flight in December.

The Hong Kong-Los Angeles service will fly four times per week from Dec. 18 until Jan. 15. After that, the flight will be offered daily.

Hong Kong Airlines will compete on the route with legacy Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific and with American, according to Flight Connections.

Hong Kong Airlines will service the route with an Airbus A350.

The full-service carrier was established in 2006. It flies to more than 30 destinations in the Asia-Pacific region and made its introduction to North America this year with the launch of Vancouver service.
