DULLES, Va. --
Independence said Dec. 7 it reached an agreement to make all of its
flight schedule and fares available for sale through Sabre, under
the symbol DH.
Thats the third GDS
the airline has added since it altered its initial plan to rely
solely on direct bookings. Independence puts its product on
Apollo/Galileo Nov. 1 and Worldspan Nov. 22.
Independence, based
at Washington (Dulles), is hoping the GDS availability will make
the airline more attractive for bookings by agencies and corporate
travel managers.
The low-fare airline
flies to 40 destinations, and will add service to West Palm Beach,
Fla., Feb. 1. However, the airline has struggled to fill seats
since its launch in June; its November load factor was
52%.
