Norse Atlantic adds Athens-New York route

Discount airline Norse Atlantic Airways will launch a summer seasonal route between Athens and New York JFK.

Norse will fly the route five times per week from May 30 through Oct. 26 on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft configured with premium economy and economy cabins. Tickets are on sale. 

The carrier will compete with twice-daily Delta service and daily American Airlines service, Cirium flight schedule data shows. 

In addition, United and Emirates fly to Athens from Newark.
