Norwegian Air’s U.S. expansion will continue with the launch
of four Barcelona routes next year.
The low-cost carrier will fly to the Spanish city from Newark,
Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif.
Newark service will launch on June 6, operating twice a week
until the end of August, when it grows to four times per week. This will be
Norwegian’s first Newark service.
Barcelona-Los Angeles service will launch on June 5, operating
twice weekly until the end of August, when it becomes a thrice-weekly service.
Flights from Oakland to Barcelona will launch on June 7, initially operating
twice weekly until the end of August, when Norwegian expands to three times a
week.
Flights from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona will launch on Aug.
22 and operate twice weekly.
Norwegian Air said launch fares from Fort Lauderdale and Newark
at $189 one way, including taxes; fares from both Los Angeles and Oakland start
at $199.
