Eppley Airfield in Omaha was set Wednesday for the opening of what
promoters are calling the world's first interactive airport art gallery.
Gallery Eppley by Hudson adjoins a Hudson Booksellers store in the
airport’s north terminal. It houses work from more than 50 Midwestern artists
in 10 mediums, including paintings, glasswork, bronze sculptures and wood.
Unique about the gallery is that artists will often work in-house,
with their efforts projected on two video screens outside the store to
passengers in the terminal.
Artists Russell and Penny Christensen, a married
couple who specialize respectively in bronze sculpting and painting, will staff
the store.
