Spirit Airlines on Thursday morning opened and immediately adjourned its stockholder meeting to vote on a merger with Frontier Group Holdings.
Talks with both Frontier and JetBlue Airways will continue until the next stockholder meeting, scheduled for July 8 at 11 a.m. Eastern time.
Frontier and JetBlue have been locked in a bidding war for Spirit Airlines. Spirit's board of directors has been in favor of the Frontier merger, saying that antitrust regulators at the Justice Department wouldn't approve a JetBlue acquisition.
