T-Mobile customers will have access to free WiFi on nearly all American Airlines domestic flights by July 1.
Exceptions will be flights on American's 50-seat regional planes, where WiFi is not available.
The free WiFi is offered as part of the T-Mobile In-Flight Connection On Us service, on which T-Mobile also partners with Alaska, United and Delta.
It only applies to smartphones, not laptops or tablets.
