United has promoted Jake Cefolia to senior vice president of
worldwide sales.
In his new role, Cefolia will direct United's sales staff of
725 people and will oversee the airline's relationships with travel agencies,
corporations and other distributors.
Cefolia, who began his new position on Aug. 6, most recently
served as United's vice president of sales for the Americas.
He is replacing Dave Hilfman, who in March announced plans
to retire.
