Brightline -- the Florida train service connecting downtown
Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach -- has launched a program for travel
advisors that pays 20% commission on tickets and its train-to-port packages for
cruise passengers.
Brightline, which will soon be renamed Virgin Trains, has established a booking portal giving travel professionals access to the lowest published fares, the ability
to manage reservations and self-service ticket changes and monthly reports from
an account manager.
The advisor program also supports the
company's train-to-port packages, which lets cruise passengers park their car,
check in and check their luggage at Brightline stations before boarding ships in
Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. The packages include Lyft ride credits
and a mimosa onboard the train.
Brightline, which began service in 2018, is the only privately
owned, operated and maintained rail system in the U.S. in more than 100 years.
Construction to connect the South Florida route with Orlando is underway, with
service expected to begin in 2022.
