Trenitalia last week launched a new high-speed train link between Milan and Rome.

The new line shaves an hour off the route; time of travel is down to 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Trenitalia’s Red Arrow Train which will service the new route and will be available for reservations on Rail Europe’s agent site in January 2009. The Red Arrow reaches a maximum velocity of 186 mph.
