Airbnb for Business has partnered with three travel
management companies (TMCs): American Express Global Business Travel, BCD
Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
The alternative accommodations provider will be an American
Express preferred supplier. In the first phase of integration expected to go
live in the coming weeks, once American Express refers a customer to Airbnb, he
can book directly on Airbnb.com with his corporate email address. Soon, Airbnb
booking information will be integrated into American Express’ reporting
platform for tracking purposes.
BCD is working with Airbnb to integrate Airbnb’s data into
BCD’s DecisionSource business intelligence and security solution. This will enable
clients to use interactive maps and view reports on destinations as well as
allow the TMC to keep track of its travelers who have booked with Airbnb and
communicate with them in the event of any incidents.
Torsten Kriedt, BCD’s vice president of corporate
intelligence, product planning and portfolio management, said demand for Airbnb
accommodations is growing. As such, BCD is working “to offer clients the best
approach to modern travel and risk management.”
Airbnb for Business accommodations will also be made
available to clients of Carlson Wagonlit.
