CHICAGO -- Hyatt Hotels Corp. developed an online booking tool for small groups called E-mmediate meetings.

The Internet-based program will go live this fall. The product enables planners to book meetings spaces, rates and times through the Hyatt system.

E-mmediate meetings is designed for groups of less than 100 rooms, and planners can book meetings up to six months in advance of arrivals at Hyatt properties in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.

In other Hyatt news, the company chose Guest-Tek, a technology company with offices in Calgary, Alberta, and Chicago, to provide high-speed Internet access at its 122 hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.

Guest-Tek's Web access is already in use at several Hyatt properties, including the Park Hyatt Chicago and the Elliott Grand Hyatt Seattle.

Hyatt did not specify when its hotels would install the technology.
