WASHINGTON -- The Marine Corps plans to issue a solicitation for its official travel account at Richards-Gebaur Memorial Airport in Kansas City, Mo.

The account, estimated roughly at $1.5 million in air, is held by SatoTravel, according to a contracting officer. The business is going out for bid because SatoTravel's contract is expiring.

The winner will get a one-year contract, with two one-year renewal options, the Marine Corps said.

"Evaluation factors will be price, past performance and the proposed level of service," it said.

The solicitation is expected to be available about May 16, with bids due about June 19.

For a copy of solicitation number M67386-00-R-0010, send a written request to fax (816) 843-3717 or e-mail [email protected]. It is not clear whether the solicitation will be posted on the Web, so written requests should be made.
