Tom Klein
Departing Sabre CEO Tom Klein has been elected chairman of
the board of Brand USA, succeeding Marriott International CEO Arne Sorenson.
Sorenson, board chair since Jan. 22, 2015, will remain a
member of the board.
Klein was one of Brand USA's original board members,
appointed in 2010, and was subsequently reappointed in 2011 and 2014. Before
being named chair, he was the board's vice chair.
Though Klein announced this summer he will resign from his
post at Sabre at the end of the year to "turn my personal attention to new
opportunities," a Brand USA spokesperson said he will remain on its board,
and will remain eligible to serve until his consecutive terms expire on Dec. 1,
2017.
