Japanese chain APA Hotels & Resorts will add its first U.S. hotel on Friday with the reflagging of the Hilton Woodbridge in Iselin, N.J., about 28 miles southwest of Manhattan.

The APA Hotel Woodbridge at Metropark is getting a renovation that is due for completion in 2017.The hotel will upgrade guestrooms and meeting space, and open a Japanese restaurant.

APA Group is the largest chain in Japan with 141 hotels, according to its website.
