PARIS -- Accor acquired a 20% stake in Orbis, a hotel and tourism
group, from the Polish government for approximately $76.3 million.
Other parties purchased interests amounting to 15.4% of Orbis.
The Polish government will retain a 6% interest in the company.
Orbis has 55 hotels spread throughout the country, and Accor
will reflag these properties with its own brands, which include
Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, Ibis and Etap.
