Crowne Plaza to make Las Vegas debut in 2010

InterContinental Hotels Group plans to construct a 386-room Crowne Plaza hotel in Las Vegas.

The hotel, expected to open in 2010, will be just west of major casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and a short drive from McCarran International Airport.

Consistent with the Crowne Plaza brand, the hotel will be meetings-focused; the property will have 16,000 square feet of meetings space.

The world-famous gaming resorts and thriving convention industry bring in tens of thousands of visitors a year, making this a great location for an upscale meetings-savvy brand like Crowne Plaza, said Gina LaBarre, Crowne Plazas vice president of brand management for the Americas.

The Asian-themed Crowne Plaza will include a casino, three restaurants, three lounges, a spa, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a business center. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet will be available throughout the hotel.
