Expansion and construction highlight Divi
Resorts' theme for 2007 at six of its eight Caribbean properties.
Here is a
rundown:
" Divi
Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, Aruba: Work continues on the
140-suite addition planned in four eight-story buildings. The
foundation work is underway and the units are scheduled to open in
spring 2008. The resort currently offers 101 units.
" Divi
Village Golf & Beach Resort, Aruba: Construction on 52
more golf villas is scheduled for by mid-year; they will join the
82 already finished; a total of 240 golf villas is planned. Two new
restaurants have opened at the Links at Divi Aruba golf course
clubhouse.
" Divi
Southwinds Beach Resort, Barbados: Guest room renovations
in its 58 pool- and garden-view suites will be completed by early
spring.
" Divi
Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino, Bonaire: Renovations
to the Touch, its on-site spa have been completed and the resort
also now offers Wi-Fi and free Internet access throughout the
property.
" Divi
Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino, St. Croix:
Construction will begin later this year of an on-site 18-hole
miniature golf course and driving range.
" Divi
Little Bay Beach Resort, St. Maarten: A $25 million
renovation program of guestrooms and public spaces has been
launched and the resort is expanding its timeshare
inventory.
Divi's other two
resorts are the Divi Heritage Beach Resort in Barbados and the Divi
Dutch Village Resort in Aruba.
