The first hotel under the Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand opened in Chicago on Thursday.
The 257-room Hyatt Centric The
Loop Chicago was redeveloped out of an 88-year-old former office building four
blocks west of Millennium Park.
The 22-story hotel, which is managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts,
includes a rooftop bar and a French bistro.
Hyatt announced the brand
in January, saying that the pet-friendly hotels would include amenities such as
bars that serve artisanal cocktails, Internet-connectable public spaces and
free WiFi.
The following month, Hyatt said
the first two Hyatt Centric hotels would open in Chicago and Miami Beach.
