Four Seasons, Kimpton and Hyatt Place were among the brands that topped their respective categories in the Business Travel News 2013 Hotel Chain Survey. (BTN is a sister publication of Travel Weekly.)
Among luxury hotel chains, Four Seasons leapfrogged Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria and St. Regis/Luxury Collection, which was last year’s winner.
Kimpton, which wasn’t included in BTN’s 2012 list of upper-upscale brands, topped that category this year, beating out Hyatt, InterContinental, Renaissance, Westin, Marriott, Hilton and last year’s winner, W.
Among upscale brands, Hyatt Place was voted best, followed by Hilton Garden Inn and Courtyard by Marriott.
Midprice brands were led by Wingate. Homewood Suites by Hilton and TownePlace Suites topped BTN’s upscale extended-stay and midprice extended-stay lists, respectively.
Hotel brands were graded on sales staff and service, group travel arrangements, meetings facilities, corporate rate programs, amenities and price/value relationship.
