The Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro, a 436-room beachfront hotel in the city’s Barra da Tijuca district, has opened.

The hotel’s guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The property’s public areas have mosaic floors and 17 vertical gardens.

The hotel also has three restaurants, including an Italian trattoria and a Japanese restaurant.

The property is adjacent to Marapendi Lagoon, affording guests the opportunity to paddleboard, sail or kayak.

Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympics, which start Aug. 5.
