SHANGHAI, China -- The first JW Marriott hotel in mainland China
opened Nov. 7 in Shanghai.
Situated in a mixed-use development known as "Tomorrow Square,"
the Marriott project includes the 342-room JW Marriott Hotel
Shanghai and the 255-room Tomorrow Square Marriott Executive
Apartments.
The 60-story building is situated one city block from the
People's Park, the People's Square, the Shanghai Performance Grand
Theater, the Shanghai Opera House and the Shanghai Museum of Fine
Arts.
The hotel is within walking distance of Shanghai's newest
shopping and entertainment center, Xintiandi, and the famous
Nanjing Road Pedestrian Walk in the city's central business
district.
The JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai features four restaurants, a
Mandara spa and fitness center, a business center with secretarial
service, 11 meetings rooms and two ballrooms.
Rooms are wired for high-speed Internet access and feature work
desks, dual-line phones with voicemail, and upscale amenities and
toiletries.
Through Dec. 15, the JW Marriott is offering an introductory
rate of $180 a night, with a $20 food and beverage credit
daily.
The Tomorrow Square Marriott Executive Apartments feature one-
to three-bedroom units with fully-equipped kitchens, living rooms
with work areas and high-speed Internet access. Apartment guests
have access to the facilities of the JW Marriott hotel.
